advice on boy friends

this is from months ago but still makes me laugh.

subject: boy friend (1)

I meant to write this topic to you back to October after I came back from China’s trip. I had so much thought about happy marriage after I saw dad’s college friends with their wives after 11 days tours. I just list as follows for your reference.

1. Good temper and patience.
2. Appreciate everything you did to him and his family.
3. Easy to be content and humor
4. Easy going personality
5. Love you and your own family.
6. Does not obsess about money, fame and power.
7. Work hard and study hard.
8. Had good and stable profession.
9. Compatible academic background.

T’s aunt recently died of breast cancer three months ago. She had breast cancer when she was 30+. She graduated from college and had good job in Taiwan. But her husband only had high school degree. He is a taxi driver. She was the financial source of her family. Her big burden may have something to do with her illness.

Happy marriage will make you look younger and healthier.

and now from my dad!

I heard from Mom that both of you had you nails done at nail salon. Grandpa had fungus nails for decades that he tried to cure in vain. Be careful when you choose a nail salon. The following are some of the websites that you might want to read:
Before you visit nail salon, make sure your fingers have not cuts or bruises where the bacteria's most likely to cause infections. The saftest way is buy nail polishing kits and do it yourselves.

medical advice

Hope you don’t catch this flu. Please drink a lot of water and rest. If you get this virus, my doctor recommends taking Tylenol cold and Mucinex to help cough out the mucus. Too much mucus in the chest will get you pneumonias.

also an email to my sister

Maybe I am old-fashioned. I always thought that to meet someone in the same college or in the same graduate school will have more stable relationship. At least you knew
what kind of friends he has been with. His past is more transparent to you, not a black box. Furthermore, you have more time to know him before you commit yourself into a close relationship.

email to my sister

my mom sent this to my sister. she is 23 now, if i count correctly. she wondered why my mom thinks she's never cut onions before.

If you do guacamole, please be careful of cutting onions. Wash your
hands before you touch your eyes. The best way to cut onions is to
wear regular glasses. Your eyes won't get hurt.
